We refurbish the used fobs so they can be sold to locksmith suppliers for use on new vehicles.
For one, used items out of the package are worth less than new items in the package. Secondly when most fobs are programmed, they form a locking bond with the vehicle and can not be reprogrammed on another vehicle. In order to be used again for us to resell them, we have to reflash the software on the remote so no traces of the old vehicle are in the memory. Third, the majority of the price you are paying is cutting and programming. The cost of the key and remote is very minimal.
You are responsible for shipping the keys to us. If you have over $100 in value of fobs or more, we will reimburse you for standard shipping, or we can print you a discounted label and email it to you at our cost and then credit you once we receive the keys.
Once we receive the fobs and check them to make sure they work, we will pay you via CashApp, PayPal, or a company check. You will normally receive payment the same day we receive the keys.
